The Royal Worcester "Evesham Gold" design was developed in 1961 as an homage to the fruit growing region of Evesham near Worcester as depicted by the colorful fruit on this casserole dish. This high quality ceramic cookware with it's beautiful gold trim was inspired by the new trend of oven to tableware which had become popular at that time. There is very little cosmetic wear (as pictured). An oval hotplate made of cork is included and stores perfectly inside the dish.
